Job Title: Registered NurseProfession: RNSpecialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)Duration: 13 weeksShift: Night ShiftHours per Shift: 12.5 hoursExperience: Minimum 2 yearsLicense: Active RN licenseCertifications: ACLSMust-Have: Epic experienceDescription:The nurses in our Progressive Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region.Patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications are commonly cared for.Candidates must be competent in the care of medical and surgical populations.Knowledge of advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per our titration protocols is required.Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, a-line, CVP, EVD, orthopedic traction, and infection prevention protocols is necessary.Skills in using HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen-dependent treatments are required.Nurses with large-scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU experience are preferred.Average patient load consists of three high-acuity patients.Block scheduling will not be approved.
