An RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nurse is a registered nurse who provides care for patients who are transitioning from critical care to a less intensive level of monitoring. These patients often have complex medical conditions, such as heart failure, respiratory issues, or post-surgical recovery, that require continuous monitoring and frequent assessments. PCU nurses closely observe vital signs, administer medications, and manage treatments, ensuring that patients stabilize and avoid further complications. They collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members, provide education to patients and families, and offer emotional support during the recovery process. Strong critical thinking, technical skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential in this role.

NIHSS, BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS requiredRN will rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, transition (no post-partum)
