Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift Job Specialty: General, Dialysis, Mental Health - Staff Augmentation Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 7:00 PM - 8:20 AM, 3 days a week Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: - Availability to work weekends - Strong knowledge of professional nursing procedures - Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to nursing Job Description: - Provide professional nursing care to individuals housed in health facilities or care units. - Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients. - Perform nursing rounds and take and record vital signs. - Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatment plans. - Monitor patients with special conditions on a timely basis. - Provide immediate medical attention in emergencies, including first aid and coordination of transportation to emergency rooms. - Schedule, assign, and review work of lower-level staff, participating in staff development and education. - Review care plans written by staff and train and orient new employees. - Administer various specialized procedures including IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, dialysis, and more. - Organize and oversee emergency response teams and direct healthcare staff. - Perform clerical tasks like maintaining records, completing required reports, managing supplies and equipment, and maintaining inventory of controlled substances. - Arrange for patient appointments and coordinate with physicians for prescriptions and medical examinations. - Conduct administrative tasks and serve as a liaison with other organizational members. - Occasionally instruct or lead problem-solving teams or groups.
