**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health) - Staff Augmentation**Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse**Job Duration:** 52 Weeks**Shift:** Day 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Registered Nurse License**Certifications:** Not specified**Must-Have:** Clear bags; must clear metal detector - no silverware - even coffee mugs and tumblers have to be clear.**Job Description:**- Provide professional nursing care to individuals in health services units or state-operated facilities.- Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.- Conduct nursing rounds, take and record vitals, and implement prescribed medication and treatment plans.- Monitor patients, especially those restrained or in isolation, on a timely basis, providing immediate medical attention in emergencies.- Schedule, assign, and review the work of lower-level staff as required.- Participate in staff development and education, reviewing care plans and training new employees.- Oversee health care of bedridden individuals; make rounds, evaluate care, administer medication, and render direct nursing care.- Perform specialized procedures including IV therapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, and CPR.- Organize and oversee medical emergency response teams.- Direct healthcare staff and act as lead worker during assigned shifts in the absence of supervisory personnel.- Assist physicians in diagnostic health evaluations.- Perform clerical tasks such as charting medications, completing reports, and maintaining inventory of controlled substances and equipment.- Arrange outpatient clinic appointments and liaise with physicians and pharmacies for prescriptions.- Engage in administrative tasks and serve as a liaison with other organizational units.- Conduct or attend meetings and occasionally serve as an instructor or team leader in problem-solving groups.**Major Worker Characteristics:**- Knowledge of nursing procedures, regulations, policies, and procedures.- Skill in operating medical equipment.- Ability to process information, write reports, and classify data effectively.
