A Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) is a healthcare professional who provides care for patients with acute medical conditions and complex surgical procedures who require continuous monitoring of vital signs. The RN is responsible for administering medications, performing procedures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAssessing, planning, and implementing individualized patient care\nAdministering medications and treatments as prescribed\nMonitoring and interpreting patient vital signs and other diagnostic tests\nCollaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans\nEducating patients and families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge planning\nMaintaining accurate and detailed patient records\nResponding to emergency situations and resuscitating patients as needed\nQualifications:\n\nCurrent state nursing license as a Registered Nurse (RN)\nBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred\nAt least 2 years of recent experience in a Med-Surg Telemetry unit\nStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team\nKnowledge of healthcare technology and medical equipment\nCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification\nWorking in a Med-Surg Telemetry unit can be both challenging and rewarding. The RN must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly respond to changing patient needs. The RN must also be compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families, as they play a critical role in helping them navigate their healthcare journey.\nThis is a not full time but contracted travel position.\n
