About The PositionRespiratory Therapist:A Respiratory Therapist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the treatment of patients with breathing and lung disorders. They work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home health agencies, among other settings.Responsibilities may include:Assessing patients' breathing and lung functionAdministering breathing treatments and medicationsMonitoring patients' vital signs and adjusting treatments as neededPerforming diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function testsEducating patients and families on managing respiratory conditionsCollaborating with interdisciplinary teams, such as physicians and nurses, to provide comprehensive patient careKeeping detailed patient records and making recommendations for ongoing care.Requirements:An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory TherapyCertification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)A valid state license to practice Respiratory TherapyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to handle physically demanding work and emergency situationsThis is a not full time but contracted travel position.9360515EXPTEMP
