AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Technician in New York City, New York, 10019!About The Position**Job Title:** Endoscopy Technician**Job Specialty:** Contract**Job Duration:** 60-day contract**Shift:** Monday-Friday, 12 PM - 8 PM**Guaranteed Hours:** 37.5 hours per week**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Registered Nurse**Certifications:** CPR, ACLS preferred; Highly recommended: BCLS Certificate, ACLS Certificate, PALS Certificate. AHA HeartSaver or BLS required.**Must-Have:** Ability to read and write English at a 10th-grade level; perform math at a 9th-grade level. Certification as an NA/PCA preferred.**Job Description:**- Assist GI physicians during endoscopy procedures.- Perform various duties as a member of the healthcare team in the treatment and care of patients and their families.- Support tasks within the unit under the supervision of the RN.- Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development principles across the lifespan.- Recognize data reflective of the patient's status and inform the Registered Nurse of observations.- Take and monitor vital signs when necessary.- Perform EKGs and assist with medical procedures as required.- Assist with the placement of pulse oximetry.- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and instruments.- Notify appropriate personnel regarding any equipment malfunction.- Assist in inventory control for medical supplies.- Set up oxygen and suction.- Collect specimens and bring them to the lab when necessary.- Stock exam rooms, including educational materials.- Retrieve endoscopy reports from the computer system as needed.- Provide instruction and information to patients.- Act rapidly and calmly during emergencies, initiate CPR, and provide necessary items for the team.- Transport patients and equipment as needed.- Perform all duties involving direct patient care as assigned by the RN within the framework of relevant practice acts and policies and procedures.**Languages:**- English (Speak, Read, Write)9639345EXPPLATJob RequirementsRequired for Onboarding
