Job Title: Ultrasound TechnologistJob Specialty: GeneralJob Duration: Not specifiedShift: 9:00 PM - 6:30 AMGuaranteed Hours: Not specifiedExperience: At least 1 year of working experience requiredLicense: New HampshireCertifications: ARDMS, BLS (AHA)Must-Have: ARDMS certificationJob Description:- Conducts established invasive and diagnostic ultrasound procedures independently, under the guidance of the Associate Director of Radiology.- Maintains clinical competence through direct patient involvement, using knowledge of age-related growth and development for the population served.- Performs ultrasonic examinations, utilizing instrumentation settings based on thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics.- Makes independent decisions regarding the length, complexity, and appropriateness of procedures to obtain an accurate record of anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for interpreting physicians.- Consults with radiologists and/or referring physicians, providing technical interpretation of diagnostic images and advice on clinical symptoms and pathological conditions.- Oversees patient scheduling and coordinates with other areas, ensuring patient examination history is updated and any unusual conditions or limitations are recorded.- Accurately documents necessary information in a daily logbook and completes examination, consultation, and procedural documentation as required.- Implements and maintains a Quality Control performance testing program for diagnostic equipment, performs testing procedures, and evaluates test results.- Develops and participates in Quality Improvement activities related to ultrasound procedures.- Relocation and/or sign-on bonuses may be offered for qualified candidates.
