A Day in the Life of the Treasury Manager

The Treasury Manager will report to the Controller and lead a team while delivering on crucial accounting objectives. This is a critical role within the accounting and finance team. It is responsible for all areas of cash management, including intercompany cash transfers, reconciliations, partner distributions, and communications about partner distributions. Each day, the Treasury Manager will work with a talented team.

Core Tactics

• Working with the Controller, take ownership of the treasury function, ensuring the accurate transfer of cash between entities, account reconciliations, partner distributions and detailed reporting on the cash position
• Lead and manage the performance of the treasury team
• Communicate to the partners the distributions and cash positions of each entity
• Prepare accurate cash flow forecasts and ensure appropriate cash levels for pending transactions
• Lead the treasury month-end close process, including the review and accurate recording of weekly cash activity to the general ledger
• Support management on analyses, workflow process improvements, and ad hoc projects
• Maintains proper controls by preparing, recommending, and following policies and procedures
• Ensure that treasury policies and procedures meet the company's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements
• Review and approval of ACH and wire payments
• Monitor and oversee existing bank account services and signatories including bank account administration for opening, migrating and closing accounts
• Effectively work with and support internal business partners including AR, AP, legal, tax and IT
• Perform periodic cost review of bank and armored carrier fees
• Maintain strong bank relationships while managing the banking structure
• Identify opportunities for and support global cash movements including documentation of intercompany loans
• Other duties as assigned
