Treat Plant Bagger Operator - Diamond Pet Foods : Job Details

JOB SCOPE: The Resin Bagger Operator is to be proficient in every aspect of properly operating the bagger and following correct resin distributing procedures at the highest reasonable speed. Other key duties include performing routine maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring consistent production standards. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed primarily indoors near operating equipment, loud noises, and loose particles. Work performed requires employees to operate in all different temperatures. Long periods of standing may be required. Employees are required to wear a bump cap, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and safety glasses at all times.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform adjustments such as sealer, conveyor, bag speed, and scale weight.
• Ensure proper set up of bagger each shift.
• Perform the following routine quality duties: accuracy and metal detection (each hour).
• Ensure correct batch code on totes, and efficiently switch from tote to tote on demand.
• Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation.
• Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP's, and HACCP.
• Keep work area clean and maintain assigned portion of master sanitation schedule.
• Report all safety violations and hazards to the supervisor immediately and participate in all safety programs and procedures. Must always wear required PPE.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor to be accepted with a positive and professional attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening (drug screen, background check, and physical.)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and climb ladders if needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the team and supervisor.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
