Triage- PRN - Coastal Pediatric Associates : Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

* Delivers accurate advice to callers regarding patient care following Barton Schmitt Pediatric Triage Telephone Protocols

* Schedule/reschedule/cancel patients properly according to provider scheduling template

* Displays full competency with shot records and ensures that all previous vaccination histories are manually entered into the internal EHR when needed

* Maintains a working knowledge of current vaccine schedule and any changes that incur annually to this schedule

* Accurately documents in the internal EHR and on internal vaccine and lab logs

* Accurately completes requested, patient paperwork in a timely fashion, per office policy

* Delivers accurate advice to callers regarding patient care following Barton Schmitt Pediatric Triage Telephone Protocols

* Schedule/reschedule/cancel patients properly according to provider scheduling template

* Create patient cases to appropriately address patient needs, sending to provider when needed or outside of company standing protocols/orders

Requirements

* Maintains an active SC nursing license, which is in good standing

* Current BLS certification

* Knowledge of pediatric nursing and triage, including Barton Schmitt Protocols

* Understanding of pediatric vaccine schedule Positive organizational skills

* Ability to work well with others as a team

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Prior medical practice experience preferred

* Working knowledge of computer applications

* Prior experience with EMR preferred

* Ability to speak, read and write effectively

* Ability to work independently without direct supervision

* Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines, in a detail-oriented manner

* Ability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
