Together, we can shape the future.Your Impact in This RoleAs a Truck Driver DOT, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Operate trucks in compliance with local, state and company policies
  • Perform truck, trailer and container inspections.
  • Deliver loads to proper locations and plant locations.
  • Inspect inbound loads at supplier locations.
  • Load/Unload a dump trailer.
  • Inspect outbound loads.
  • Load /Unload a roll off container.
  • Drive dump truck on SMI property.
  • Ensure that trucks are kept clean and maintained at all times, perform truck maintenance, as required
  • Complete and maintain driving and haul log sheets on a trip basis, as required.
  • Wear appropriate site specific personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
  • Understand and adhere to all company operating procedures and company safety policies.
  • Any other related duties, as assigned by their supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Glass processing knowledge, preferred.
  • Understand and follow specific oral instructions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience operating powered industrial vehicles preferred.
