The City of Bangor Public Works Department is seeking qualified team members! If you are looking for a job with stability, comprehensive benefits, and the sense of satisfaction that comes from providing service to approximately 31,000 residents and 20,000 daily visitors, then we have just the job for you!The City of Bangor Public Works Department provides extensive infrastructure support to the residents of Bangor, including maintaining approximately 300 lane miles of streets and 140 miles of sidewalks. We dig holes, bury pipes and basins, pave sidewalks, maintain street signs, paint lines, sweep, plow, salt, and remove snow, among many, many other tasks in support of City of Bangor operations. Your experience on construction equipment and practices may qualify you for a starting wage up to $22.98/hr.Compensation starting at $19.84/hr with annual increases based on merit (up to 5%) and yearly adjustments based on collective bargaining agreement.
