Our team is supporting the supply chain network evolution to an integrated self-distribution model of the future, serving leading omnichannel grocery brands such as Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.*PAY: *$80,000 - $100,000 a year* By Mileage *and* Hourly Rate* Differentials (weekend miles/extra day miles)*PERKS** *Benefits day ONE!** *401k day ONE!** Tuition reimbursement* Career Growth Opportunities* *Referral Bonuses \*$15K** *Sign-on Bonus \*$15K*_\*Payout structure for bonuses:_* 2 months - $5K* 6 months - $5K* 12 months - $5K*SHIFT: *_*HOME EVERY NIGHT!*__Trucking Route(s) are Dedicated, Local, and Regional_* 4 - 5 days per week* 10 - 12 hours per day* Must be able to work *Saturday*/*Sunday** Off at least 2 consecutive days per week*PRIMARY PURPOSE *Responsible for safely delivering grocery and perishable products to company stores as scheduled and for safely transporting backhauls to distribution centers.*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Safely operate tractor-trailer while maintaining the company's driving performance standards* Assist in unloading deliveries at stores* Follow proper pre-trip procedures as required by DOT regulation 392.7* Maintain and follow all proper delivery and pick up paperwork and procedures* Maintain all D.O.T. paperwork and qualifications* Assuring proper count and condition of load(s) at all backhaul, for hire and relay (compound) locations* Verify proper operating condition of equipment used* Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency and productivity, and reduce costs* Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in the areas of accuracy, safety, and productivity*QUALIFICATIONS** Must possess a *Class A* Commercial Driver's License* Must be at least 21 years of age* Must have a minimum of 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience or equivalent of 100,000 miles* Must not have more than one moving violation against your driving record in the last 3-year rolling period* Knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations along with Transportation Logistics* Knowledge of proper use of equipment*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** Reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 70 lbs.*PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS** Previous tractor-trailer driving experience* Excellent driving skills* Possess good communication, verbal, and written skills* Ability to pass and meet all requirements for the D.O.T.
