TRUCK DRIVER - STREET MAINTENANCE - City of Evansville, IN : Job Details

HIGHWAY - DUTIES: Performs preventative maintenance and reports needed repairs and damages to vehicles. Operates vehicles in excess of ½ ton capacity including, but not limited to gasoline and diesel dump trucks etc., to perform various duties including hauling and driver training. Oversee installation and use of truck tarpaulin when hauling. Train other employees to operate/drive trucks when necessary. Act as crew leader. Works any shift, overtime, weekends and holidays as required. Performs other duties as assigned and assists other employees as required.QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will consider applicants without diploma based upon experience demonstrating required abilities and skills. Must have a Commercial Drivers License with proper endorsements. Must be able to read and write and possess mechanical aptitude.
