Position Summary: Develops new relationships for the company with a focus on trust and investment relationships. Works with internal colleagues to implement relationship development activities. Works with external professionals to build relationships.Essential Functions:
- Cultivates relationships with prospects to open fiduciary and investment accounts
- Solicits future fiduciary appointments for the bank
- Identifies new prospects through participation in community activities
- Establishes and maintains relationships with other professionals including attorneys, CPAs, life insurance agents and others specializing in fiduciary and investment activities
- Maintains prospect files on Contact Management and in office
- Actively refers loan, deposit and other services to appropriate internal personnel to meet clients need
- Maintains contact with existing clients to solicit additional referrals and enhance client relationships
- Prepares marketing plan and goals to help offices reach budgeted revenue
- Assists with planning and set up of internal and external special company-sponsored events
- Maintains and updates personal knowledge to stay current with trends in estate, retirement and financial-planning topics and strategies
- Ensures compliance with federal and state banking regulations
- Required regular attendance at the FineMark location designated in this job description, during regular business hours, or assigned hours for the position, is required. This is not a remote-work position
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business related field from an accredited university and equivalent of 8+ years of progressive experience developing trust and/or investment client relationships for a wealth management company.
- Must have demonstrated ability to acquire new relationships, with a focus on trust and investment services, through a disciplined and sustained calling effort to centers of influence and other sources to generate new business relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of trust and investment solutions, as well as general financial-consulting abilities, acquired through experience or certification.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
