Familiarity with estate tax, generation-skipping transfer tax, gift tax, and income taxation of trusts and estates is essential. The role requires expertise in structuring trust and estate matters for high-net-worth individuals, particularly those with real estate and closely held business interests, and experience with family offices. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in structuring estate plans for business continuation and be knowledgeable about trust jurisdictions in Delaware, South Dakota, and Alaska.Applicants for the Trusts and Estates Partner position at the company should possess a senior-level background in a law firm environment, with a preference for those with some portable business.
