Research-based curricula, delivered by trained professionals, equip girls to achieve academically; lead healthy and physically active lives; manage money; navigate media messages; and discover an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.Job Responsibility:The Tutor is a part-time position that is responsible for:· Providing supportive engagement and instruction to help girls achieve success in an onsite virtual school environment· Facilitating interactive classroom lessons/projects to girls ages 5-18 that will provide the girls an opportunity to investigate, explore, create, observe, discover, ask questions, and solve problems· Implementing lessons that will foster an active learning environment which encourages individual and cooperative learning concepts· Classroom management and the ability to handle situations that involve delicate situations around behaviors of children· Incorporate interactive, hands-on experiences into the classroom· Speak knowledgeably about different programs/events offered by Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta Job Qualifications:• Enthusiastic team player with a bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field with 1- 2 years'experience working in school setting (Instructor)• Be available to work up to 20• Excellent organizational and communication skills• Effectively interface with parents, staff and administrators• Serve as a positive role model for children ages 5 -18• Must be able to pass a criminal record check, child abuse & neglect check, drug test EQUALOPPORTUNITYEMPLOYER
