About the Role : Were hiring one dedicated in-person tutor to provide small-group ELA and Math instruction 5th-grade students at PS 38 Roberto Clemente. Each tutor will be assigned to one grade level, working closely with students and teachers to deliver personalized academic support tailored to each childs needs. What Youll Do: Work closely with teachers and school leaders to provide engaging and focused small-group instruction in ELA and Math for your assigned grade level. Schedule: Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Time: 1:30 PM 4:30 PM Duration: February 4 April 30, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences) Key Dates Off: February 17 February 21 (Midwinter Recess) March 6 (Elementary and K-8 Parent-Teacher Conferences Early Dismissal) March 31 (Eid al-Fitr) April 14 April 18 (Spring Recess) What Were Looking For: Experience: Previous experience tutoring or teaching ELA and Math to elementary school students. Subject Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ELA and Math at the 5th-grade level. Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students. Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences. Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students.
