What it is: The Relationship and Research Manager will serve as one of the primary contacts for Universal Consulting Opportunities, collaborating with business partners, executives, and key influencers to achieve the company's objective of expanding the customer base in global markets. This role will be critical in sourcing, building, and maintaining productive relationships with global clients, while driving new business opportunities in exciting markets across the world. Reporting to the CEO, this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, while researching, sourcing, and vetting new opportunities for global growth. What you'll do: This is a salary, exempt, full-time role. Your essential duties and responsibilities will consist of: Strategic Planning & Business Development: Global Expansion Strategy: Execute strategic plans to achieve corporate objectives for expanding the customer base globally, including identifying and vetting new opportunities in emerging markets across various audiences such as brokerages, associations, portals, and product vendors among others. Market Research: Conduct thorough research to source and evaluate global growth opportunities, including market trends, competitive analysis, and prospective partnerships. Understand and document cultural nuances, and research US and market-local products that complement the MLS strategy. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with prospective global stakeholders through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and virtual interactions to support UCO's initiatives. Evaluate their readiness to develop an opportunity with UCO. Networking: Attend meetings and events where key influencers, executives, and stakeholders are present to promote UCO's vision. Custom Solutions: Collaborate with internal team(s) to develop and deliver tailored solutions that meet clients' unique needs. Brand Awareness: Enhance the Stellar MLS and UCO image and awareness in both existing and targeted regions for new global business development. Relationship Management: Client Liaison: Act as a liaison between UCO and external stakeholders, ensuring strong rapport and positive relationships are built, both internally and globally. Customer Needs Analysis: Utilize all available channels to gather information on prospective global clients' strategic business needs and align them with the UCO's vision for mutually beneficial outcomes. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal team(s) to ensure aligned goals and seamless execution of global ventures. Provide feedback and recommendations directly to the VPs of Global Markets on global expansion progress. Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate, detailed records of all client interactions, meetings, and events. Compile debrief notes and distribute them as necessary, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to leadership. Other responsibilities as assigned. Timely and regular attendance is an essential function of the position; being physically present in the work environment is an essential job function. Cross-training for other departmental functions is expected and required. Must be willing and able to travel to both local associations and events as well as corporate travel to industry related meetings to benefit the goals of the organization both domestically and internationally. Must be able to work in a remote work environment in the state of Florida and be able to report to the main office as required, as well as off-site locations in and outside of the state of Florida, including potential international travel. Develop and grow relationships for the organization's growth and expansion for additional membership and revenue. Requirements: Who we need: To succeed in this role, the Relationship & Research Manager will need a particular skill set. For this position, those include: Other Essential Skills 3 or more years of experience in global business development, relationship management, or a similar role. Organized real estate experience preferred. Strong written, verbal communication and organization skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, while consistently delivering high quality results. Must be flexible and able to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Able to meet deadlines, while consistently delivering high quality results. Ability to work as a team as well as independently when necessary. Ability to work cross-departmentally, to ensure successful results. Must exhibit excellent phone and in person etiquette. Must have excellent active listening skills, and remain calm under pressure Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and market insights to drive business decisions. Must be detail oriented, excellent time management skills and documentation ability to work on multiple projects at a time. Must be able to travel internationally and domestically as needed. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills, both practiced and impromptu. Understands the techniques required to develop, maintain, and manage business relationships with customers and partner organization to identify new business opportunities for Stellar. Must be able to interact successfully with various customers, Executives, and key influencers. Must be friendly, courteous, and professional in manner and appearance. Demonstrates a service-oriented mindset and the ability to adopt to fast changing environment. Ability to research and coherently explain findings on a wide range of topic. Experience seeking and developing growth and business opportunities for organizations. Strong understanding of global business environments, with experience in sourcing, researching, and evaluating opportunities in global markets. Must be collaborative and committed to the goals and values of the organization.
