Responsibilities
  • This position is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing highfrequency sounds waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities; assisting in thedelivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service.
  • Performance of allUltrasound examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services.
  • Preparation of all departmental paperwork,answering the department's telephone, scheduling of patients.
  • Entering and retrieving patient information from the PictureArchiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS).
  • Maintaining the work area in a clean andorganized manner.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program.
  • 2 years of experience in OB ultrasound
  • 1 year MFM Ultrasound experience
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent.
  • Nuchal translucency certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
  • Knowledge of all ultrasound equipment, their function and operation of each control.
  • Understanding of equipment and computer systems, as well as the procedures for equipment service.
  • Knowledge of Cross-Sectional Anatomy and Physiology.
  • Ability to recognize fetal malformations
