Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist, Registered Job Specialty: Radiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x7.5 Days (Variable Shift) Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 per week Experience: 2+ years as an Ultrasound Technologist License: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certifications: Graduate of two-year ultrasound program with clinical and didactic education Must-Have: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Knowledge of office and administrative practices - Skill in the use of personal computers and software - Ability to problem-solve and make decisions - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion - Experience with ultrasound equipment maintenance and minor adjustments - Ability to mentor new personnel - Language: English (speak, read, write) Job Description: - Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques. - Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment and take necessary safety precautions to protect patients and personnel. - Set up, operate, clean, and perform minor adjustments on ultrasound equipment. - Ensure adequate supplies are available for use. - Assist in the orientation and mentorship of new ultrasound personnel. - Capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physicians' workstations. - Handle phone inquiries, schedule examinations, and potentially initiate patient transportation. - Perform other duties as required.
