**Unarmed Protective Security Officer in Elmhurst, IL**

Human Resources Elmhurst, Illinois Minimum Experience **Entry-level** Compensation **$16.50-$17** POSITION REQUIREMENTS

* You Must Be 21+ years of age

* You Must Have: A High School Diploma, GED/Transcripts required

* You Must Have: BOTH 20-Hour Unarmed Certificate by an IDFPR Certified Training Site

* You Must Have: A Valid PERC

MAIN CONSIDERATIONS

* Must be able to work Mon-Friday 7 am - 12 pm

* Previous security, or retired law enforcement experience a plus.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Other Considerations:

* Capable of following complex instructions

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Willingness to participate in the companys screening process, including drug screen and background investigation (Kates maintains a drug-free workplace policy)

* Knowledge of security operations and procedures

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

* Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises

* Screen and register visitors/guests.

* Provide excellent customer service

* Adhere to all company service and operating standards by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly, and professionally at all times

* Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

* Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers

* Protect the companys assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues

* Follow all client site-specific duties, as required and outlined in post-orders
