DeLallo is seeking an Unarmed Security Guard. The Security Guard will be responsible to log all visitors and delivery vehicles according to procedure. This position will act as a visible deterrent to crime. Additionally, this position may be expected to assist in various related roles during peak season. This may include assignments at other sites to assist with traffic flow and parking.Position Hours:* Monday through Friday - 7 am - 3 pmPrimary Functions:* Check in deliveries, (i.e., remove truck seal, obtain bill of lading, count # of pallets and quantity of cases, etc.).* Check in pickup orders, (i.e., obtain pickup # from the driver, obtain information from the truck, assign dock #, seal the truck prior to exiting facility, etc.).* Container deliveries, (i.e., obtain driver paperwork, confirm container seal, assign doc #, etc.).* Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.* Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with employees and guests.* Direct guests, vendors, contractors, and employees as necessary.Physical and Mental Functions:* Stand, sit or walk frequently on various surfaces.* Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as needed.* Bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.* Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, computer, cutting seals and other administrative tools.* Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with guests and co-workers, and use computer; includes hand/eye coordination.* Work in various environments including adverse out-door conditions such as cold, rain or heat.* Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments.Qualifications/Requirements:* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.* At least 18 years of age.* Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and guests in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.* Accurately use a computer, (i.e., email and minor data entry skills).* Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.* Must perform exceptional customer service and communication skills.* Remain flexible to ever changing environments; adapt well to different situations.* Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard.* Neat and professional appearance.WHY DELALLOYou'll be working in an environment with an abundance of opportunities to learn the warehouse business and if willing to work hard, may be afforded career growth opportunities.
