Our vision is to continue to lead our industry through innovation and exceptional performance.MCI is currently seeking an Underground Utilities/Pipe Foreman based in Effingham, Illinois. Our Underground Utilities/Pipe Foremen are responsible for working closely with Superintendents and fellow team members to ensure accuracy on the job sites and assist in project completion and troubleshooting with underground utilities, such as storm, sanitary sewer and water lines. This position records and tracks productions quantities and compares to the estimated costs in order to meet or exceed job specifications. In addition, the Underground Utilities/Pipe Foreman is key to ensuring safety and applying fundamental knowledge of trenching and excavating; they must also be able to read and interpret blueprints. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, communication and critical thinking. What makes you successful in this position?
  • Previous underground utilities experience in construction, heavy civil construction, or project management. This role should not be confused with a pipe fitter role.
  • Trimble or TopCon experience in a previous work environment. You must be able to use an iPad and computer equipment regularly.
  • A demonstrated track record with safety while excavating and trenching.
  • Team player mentality and the desire to be a part of a successful, hard-working team.
  • Superior time management and technical capacity skills.
