This is a hybrid role with training to start in summer 2025.Role DescriptionThe Underwriter Associate will join our industry-recognizedtraining program, learning how to navigate a wide array of underwriting andmarketing functions, gaining knowledge and competence in both clientrelationship management and technical underwriting skills. With the support of their team, manager andmentor, the Underwriter Associate will develop key underwriting skills includingusing both proprietary tools and external resources to analyze, evaluate andset terms and pricing for complex exposures. The Underwriter Associate will also network corporately, learning to leveragethe company's substantial resources to provide a best-in-class response to ourvalued clients. Through both classroom and on-the-jobexperiences, our Associates progress toward the Underwriter role withopportunities to work on live accounts, develop their own client relationshipsand advance their understanding of the insurance industry overall and howGenStar continues to work toward meeting the evolving needs of the E&Smarketplace.
