Underwriting Associate - TEKsystems : Job Details

Description:

This position provides the opportunity to learn how to evaluate risks for Workers' Compensation, Business owners', Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Umbrella policies for small businesses. This is a great opportunity to begin a career in the commercial insurance industry.

• Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for various lines of business

• Perform independent verification of insured's operations

• Review and process change requests on in-force policies

• Evaluate in-force policies at renewal

• Participate in Underwriting Training for new products, directives, and processes

• Participate in projects as assigned

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in any area of the following areas of insurance highly desired: professional liability, small business, workers comp, general liability, business owners (BOP), commercial auto or umbrella

Strong investigative skills

Adaptability in a constantly changing environment, including changes to technology, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory conditions

Open to candidates with a Bachelors or Associates degree - can be in business or other fields such as Psychology, English, Communication, etc.
