Our patient's health is our priority, and we go above and beyond to care in every way possible.Position StatementThe PCU Unit clerk is responsible for administrative support for the multi-disciplinary team and assists with communication between healthcare partners.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcomes patient's families and visitors. Assists them with wayfinding with general hospital and/or unit questions.Answers the telephone and directs calls to appropriate parties.Coordinates frequently with other North Country Hospital departments to facilitate patient care and unit functioning.Communicates with external partners to connect healthcare providers in planning patient care and transfers.Creates and maintains portions of patient charts (both physical and electronic patient records).Performs scanning, copying, and faxing as needed.Strives to improve the quality of patient care through personal development and unit projects.Collaborates with teammates to promote and preserve a positive work-place culture.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesCurrent BLS certification required. Classes and certification offered by Employer.Maintains current AVADE certification.
