This includes providing professional assessments and documentation of the resident's heath and assisting with management of the assigned unit, charge nurse and other nursing staff.Unit Manager Essential FunctionsUnit Manager will supervise unit, perform and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills and procedures to ensure the quality of care to residentsSupervise and participate in the development and implementation of resident care plansDocument progress and making recommendations for revisions to care plansAssist DON/ADON with the co-ordination, management and monitoring of the review of nurse's notes to determine if the care plan is being followedSupervise staff in monitor each resident's psychological functions, fluid balance, elimination, electrolyte status, laboratory results, respiratory status, neurological status and nutritional status to detect deviations from normal and gage progressMake rounds with the physicianMaintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights and privacy are protected at all timeComplete necessary documentation and teaching of residents for residents' admissions, transfers and discharge according to policy and proceduresAll other as assignedIND123Qualifications:Unit Manager QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid LPN or RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirementsHave a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of employmentThe ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personalThe ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPPAThe ability to adhere to professional code of ethics
