Day.Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI is seeking a UNIVERSAL CAREGIVER to join our COUNTRY GARDENS ASSISTED LIVING COMPLEX team! Description: The Universal Caregiver is responsible for the care of the long-term care resident under the direction of the charge nurse. The Universal Caregiver provides direct patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff. The Universal Caregiver assists/performs activities of daily living; dressing, eating, transfer, mobility, toileting, ROM as necessary to maintain/increase the resident's highest level of function. The Universal Caregiver assures the safety of the resident by using gait belts, mechanical lifts, and observing and intervening appropriately when the resident is at risk. The Universal Caregiver in AC&R is working in modified C.N.A. role. Hours: Part-time/Benefit Eligible or .6 FTE; 48 hours bi-weekly, PM Shift Required Education:

• Completion of an approved nursing assistant program with current inclusion in the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry
• Current BLS certification
• CBRF Fire/Safety and First Aid training - Units 1 & 2

Preferred Education:

• Graduate of high school or GED

• Previous experiences in a long-term care setting
