Job Description
* Acts as a role model
* Comply with technology - a) Ensures quality products are produced in safe manner; b) ensures TQCs are done correctly; c) performs first and last piece checks; d) troubleshoots and corrects quality holds; e) promotes Team Passes; f) trains new associates; g) meet and track line productivity; h) Implement improvements; I) ensures correct method sheets are used; j) assign jobs to associates and enforces job/line flex plans; k) sequencing; l)ZFTCS
* Material Flow - a) in absence of material handler supplies cell; b) maintains cell inventory accuracy; c) ensure material is identified within cell at all times; d) work with New Product Team to prepare cell for pilots and new product launches; e) ensures material is ready to meet production requirements; g) KEY IT- DO IT - KEY IT - DO IT (SAP)
* Remove roadblocks - a) ensures daily production plan is met; b) anticipate problems in advance & finds solutions; c) Improve team morale; d) Secure required resources; e) Work on line as needed to pick up rhythm, identify problems, train new associates; f) Help set goal for cell; g) Controls start/end/break times
* Maintains Team Records - a) IPCP; b) attendance sheets; c) productivity recap sheet; d) others as required
* Communications -a) immediately report discrepancies to production manager; b) conducts team meetings; c) coaches associates; d) shift logs;
* Safety - a) ensures safety practices are followed, to include proper use of PPE; b) housekeeping; c) Pre-flight checklists.
* Position - a) must be willing to hold the position anywhere within the department; b) must be willing to upgrade at any time when the need occurs.
Required Qualifications:
* Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months. (Exceptions to the 6-month time limit may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion).
* Associate must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from a bid job in the preceding 6 months.
* Associate can have no written disciplinary warnings for Group 1 rule violations within six (6) months of the posting date.
* Associate cannot have more than 2 attendance incidents.
* Associate must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
* Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
* Associates selected will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, to include processes and computer requirements.
* A 90 day probationary period applies to all job postings.
* Associate submits an application through Workday prior to the posting deadline.
* Team leader bids are not cell specific. Production Managers will assign based on production requirements.
* Interested temporary associates can bid and will have the opportunity to become permanent based on their performance.
