Description: This is a part-time position as a classroom teacher, with responsibility for adapting curriculum to plan and implement engaging and meaningful lessons for their class. Teachers will create a supportive and intellectual learning environment for their students, and help students to develop and fulfill their academic and personal potential.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Plan and implement instruction that provides purposeful, engaging, and collaborative learning experiences
* Plan and implement differentiated lessons to meet the needs of each individual learner
* Communicate student progress frequently and clearly with parents and students
* Prepare report cards and formal progress updates
* Maintain an organized, welcoming classroom environment conducive to student learning
* Collaborate in grade level team meetings
* Participate and engage in ongoing professional development
* Participate in supervisory duties as scheduled by Administration
Job Requirements: BA degree, teaching credential preferred, but not required.
Ideal candidates have 2 or more years of successful lead teaching experience, strong classroom management as well as pedagogical skills. A strong background in teaching math, literature, and the writing process is a plus.
