A healthcare system in New York is actively seeking a licensed Physician to join their growing Urgent Care team at one of their facilities in the Hudson Valley.About the Opportunity:Setting:FQHCShift:Part-time or full-timeSchedule:Mix of weekdays and some weekendsHours:8:30am to 5:30pmSpecialty:Family Medicine and/or Urgent CarePatient Population:All AgesResponsibilities:The Urgent Care Physician will:Manage patients' acute care concernsAssist with common concerns and procedures, including: STI diagnosis and treatment, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, I&Ds, IVs, nebulizer treatment, URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatry screening and stabilization, etc.Maintain evidence-based and current knowledge as it relates to urgent care practice and proceduresEducate patients on basic primary care topics (hypertension, diabetes, depression/anxiety, etc.)Begin initial management of acute changes in chronic conditionsDocument physical exams, procedures and in-office medications/prescriptionsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:2+ years of Urgent Care experienceLicensed to practice in the State of CaliforniaBoard Certified in Family and/or Internal MedicineExperience treating all age, including minor office proceduresDesired Skills:Bilingual (English and Spanish)Your privacy is important to us.
