Job Title: Lab Assistant
Job Description
Everly produces at-home testing kits. This role involves working with urine, blood, and fecal samples, so candidates must be comfortable handling all three. Lab assistants will open and sort samples, collect samples, input information into the lab information system, and verify patient information. Additional responsibilities include cutting and coating the kit samples, labeling, and prepping them for the techs, as well as entering kit data into the system after testing is complete.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and quarantine all specimen packages.
- Open and sort specimens.
- Check specimens for acceptance criteria.
- Separate and properly code all non-testable specimens.
- Enter and verify (accession) all specimen information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Assist in strip manufacturing duties, including cutting and preparing strips for coating.
- Receive and log in any deliveries of laboratory supplies.
- Assist in manual entry and verification of laboratory results.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisor.
- Notify supervisors of any possible deviations from documented procedures.
