Our client, a leading chemical manufacturing company, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the packaging department supporting the site planner, operations supervisor, and shipping department to ensure a high level of customer service. Theideal candidate will have a track record of holding down an operator role for an extended period of time, chemical environment experience preferred, and be responsible and accountable.**Job Title:** Packaging Operator**Location:** Urbana, IL**Pay Range:** $22/hr**What's the Job?**+ Receive material that has cleared final quality inspection+ Prepare appropriate packaging container(s)+ Fill prepared containers according to required configuration+ Label packaged products before transferring them to the shipping department+ Complete detail-oriented paperwork and computer transactions to support packaging and ERP systems+ Maintain and ensure accuracy of departmental SOPs+ Maintain proper inventory, organization, and cleanliness of the packaging department**What's Needed?**+ HS or GED minimum+ Forklift is part of the job, no prior experience needed, not frequent use / once a week+ Chemical environment experience preferred+ Responsible and accountable+ Ability to follow procedure, do it consistently and correctly every time, and show up on time**What's in it for me?**+ Temp to perm potential for 1 person+ Steel toed shoes, long pants, and uniform will be provided+ Safety glasses will be provided+ Opportunity to work with a leading chemical manufacturing company+ Competitive pay rateIf this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
