Position title: US Procurement Manager (Construction)

Reports to: Sr. Construction Manager

Job Location: NYC

Salary Range: $120,000 - $144,000

JOB SUMMARY

The US Procurement Manager (Construction) will be responsible for the procurement of construction related goods and services for our growing US market. The successful candidate will build and maintain a reliable and cost-effective vendor network, which can provide all needed goods and services for the construction of Joe & The Juice stores in the US. The US Procurement Manager will ensure that materials, equipment, furniture and fixtures meet agreed quality standards and arrive at the construction site on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All aspects of contract management (e.g. administer, review, manage, file, evaluate, analyze, and negotiate)
  • Writing, releasing and managing RFPs (e.g. prepare specifications, solicit and evaluate bids, recommend vendors, etc.)
  • Assisting with and eventually overseeing bid leveling for construction RFPs
  • Evaluating vendors to ensure their performance is aligned with Joe & The Juice standards and specifications
  • Developing and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
  • Negotiating new contracts
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Continually improving purchasing methods/processes
  • Vendor relationships and management: establish, foster, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors
  • Working with and understanding contract documents
  • Reviewing construction drawings to ensure all orders are being placed in line with the project's design
  • Ensuring that each construction project is receiving the needed deliveries of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) and materials on time
  • Coordinating with the construction manager to create, update and ensure ideal delivery timelines.
  • Managing several project timelines simultaneously
  • Maintain the master equipment and spec list for the US market.
  • Supporting the development and construction team with project management tasks as needed
  • Independently manage special projects and/or other duties as assigned
  • Take ownership of all US procurement tasks for capital projects

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in the procurement of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment)
  • Proven success in construction or project management related role
  • Experience with a fast-growing food or retail business with 20+ locations
  • Understands the US business environment and is comfortable negotiating with vendors
  • Already has established industry contacts in the construction, restaurant or commercial equipment industry
  • Highly motivated self-starter, ready to make a positive impact
