WHAT YOU'LL DOResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performs duties such as ware-washing, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning walls, foodservice equipment, and simple operation of basic equipment.
- Clean, Sanitize, sweep, and mop the kitchen/dining room floor as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen/ work area.
- Receive and clean our guest's soiled dinnerware, flatware, and glassware following proper departmental procedures.
- Must adhere to all company standards and operating policies.
- Performs all side work, opening and closing duties.
- Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
- Ensure all Rio Hotel & Casino core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Assist bus runner in keeping/maintaining dining room areas clean.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Maintain written record of all equipment cleaned and/or those needing special attention.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply/storage closets; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; clean floors; remove items which do not belong and place in correct areas.
- Monitor and use correct cleaning chemicals for designated items per OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS- At least 21 years of age.
- At least one year of high-volume counter or fast-food experience in a similar or related field.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to wear rubber gloves to handle hot kitchenware and use hands to separate, open and insert plastic bags into cans.
- Previous experience working in a similar position within a hospitality establishment (preferred).
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
- Must regularly lift and/move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
WORKING CONDITIONS- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
- Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
PAY RANGE- The pay range for this position is $20.46 - $25.57/hour.
