Utility (Nester) - Beasley Flooring Products : Job Details

POSITION: Utility (Nester) SHIFT: FIRST Shift - Mondays through Fridays - 7am - 5:30pmSTARTING PAY: $15.46 Purpose: The purpose of this position is to ensure flooring products meet company quality standards, prior to being shipped out.Essential Functions:Must learn the difference between lumber species and widthsMust be able to learn and apply Wood Eye numbering systemMust learn and apply grade rulesRequired to fill defects and remove excess putty.Visually keep check on machinery for signs of wear or unusual noiseBuild packs neatly and correctly, to ensure stability, on the nesting jigMust use small hand tools as needed (rubber mallet, putty knife, etc.)Other duties as assigned.Physical/Safety Requirements:Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and stoop several times a day.Must be able to stand for 10 hours a day.Must be able to lift 1-10 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day (handling materials).Must be able to visualize defects in the product while material is moving.Must be able to safely work around moving machinery and focus on the importance of hand safety.Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity, and temperature variationsMust be able to follow all other general plant safety requirements.Training Requirements:Orientation training.Quality and Safety training.BENEFITS:40 Hours Paid Time Off after 90-day probationary periodFull Benefits available on the 1^st^day of the month, following completion of their 60th day of employment (so, less than 90 days after hire)9 PAID Holidays after 90-day probationary periodGrowth Opportunities after 90 day probationary period401K with 4% company match after 6 MonthsRequired Knowledge, Skill and Abilities: Safety and Production equipment.Must be able to work FULL TIMEMust be able to pass Drug screen AND basic background checkHOW TO APPLY:Online at Flooring Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer
