Pay and Shift
The hourly rate for this position is $21.50 + 5% shift differential. The 2nd shift hours are 3:30pm - 12:00am.

This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What You'll Work On
- Relieve routine tasks associated with the Material Control Operator, process general stores requests.
- Flexibility in job assignments and customer service oriented
- Must be able to use a forklift regularly and for prolonged periods to perform job
- Must know duties of these positions – Receiving Clerk, Material Control Operator, General Stores, Label Hold Cage Coordinator and others so they can perform as needed.
- Timely and accurate paper and computer work, such as receiving clerk duties and others as assigned
- Update and troubleshoot data in MITS system, such as bag movements, line supply locators, etc.
- Participate in cost reduction, process improvements and other job-related activities necessary to maintain and improve department competitiveness in the industry
- Other duties as assigned by the manager / supervisor
You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to use a computer to perform the job duties
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a CDL (commercial drivers license)
- Must have ability to work in a high-pressure, fast paced and constantly changing customer service driven environment
- Flexible: position has an assigned shift; however, on occasion will be assigned to another shift for designated periods
- Ability to safely operate a forklift on a regular and prolonged basis during the performance of job duties
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills, very good interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills, ability to multitask, and a very good team player
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritional products
- 6 months or more experience in Material Control
- Forklift experience
