  • Must be detail oriented and able to accurately count and read job travelers.
  • Requires much walking and standing.
  • Must be able to transport up to 60 pounds and push a full loaded cart up to 200 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable using computers and copiers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reviews Job Travelers to pull the materials for the scheduled jobs.
  • Ensures that operators have materials to maintain job flow - bottles/cards/ labels/foil/boxes/blister cards/etc.
  • Threads up label lines and sets lot code and expiration dates on labelers.
  • Helps team maintain room standards of cleaning/organization.
  • Moves materials to the next stage for packaging.
  • Follows guideline to takes finished products to the warehouse or shipping.
  • Sets up and operates the bander.
  • Follows all QC procedures which apply to the jobs at hand.
  • Helps with finished goods packaging as needed.
  • Completes all logs and batch records related to the above activities /operations.
  • Reports all major problems to the Test Strip Coordinator or Department Manager.
  • Miscellaneous
  • Participates in lean activities, including but not limited to:
  • Lean training and lean events such as kaizen or a 5-day event.
  • 5-S program in department or other areas assigned.
  • DMAICs. Continuously looks for ways to improve both the department's and own individual efficiencies and time management, as well as ways to improve any aspect of the Company's operations and develops and implements DMAICs accordingly.
  • Provides Supervisors/Managers with feedback to determine where additional training would benefit and obtains additional training, as necessary.
  • Assists in other department activities as needed.
  • Floats to and works in other Production areas as needed.
  • Complies with all Company policies (i.e. personnel, safety, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned. (Such duties may or may not be essential functions of the job.)
  • Environmental Factors & Physical Demands:
    • Works indoors in temperature controlled and humidity-controlled environments.
    • Requires walking, standing, sitting stooping, bending, and transporting up to 60 pounds.
    • Requires good judgment, decision making and communication skills, dexterity, and color perception. Must be able to read and understand directions.
