Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Utility Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our office building, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all employees and visitors.

Pay: $25 - $31 an hour depending on experience

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Shift: (2 Days a Week) Monday and Friday Only - 7am - 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Support: Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing minor plumbing issues.
  • Facility Upkeep: Ensure that all building entrances, exits, and walkways are clean and free of debris. Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas, including parking lots and sidewalks.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Regularly inspect and ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  • Event Setup: Assist with the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, addressing any concerns or requests in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or maintenance role required.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and maintenance procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Communication: Good verbal communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependability: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
