Job SummarySan Mateo-Foster City School District is looking for Utility Worker (day shift) to work for our Maintenance & Operations Department. 8 hours per day (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) Examples of Duties: Perform daily safety inspection of vehicles and operate vehicle to and from school sites, district and public offices, and vendor locations obeying traffic laws and observing defensive driving practices; wash and fuel vehicles. Pick-up building materials, parts, supplies, and rental equipment at varied vendor location and deliver to work sites and M&O; load and transport furniture to and from school locations and the M&O Department; load and transport student and staff luggage. Assist in the set-up of furniture for special events. Operate hand truck, pallet jack, and forklift. Perform the full range of duties of the Custodian class, as assigned. Perform semi-skilled and unskilled building and grounds maintenance duties as a team member or independently, as the need arises. Serve on assigned committees and teams. Participate in District-mandated training and retraining programs. Perform related duties as assigned.
