Position Summary:

Provides customer service duties related to parking and transportation services. Performs cashier services and related cashier reporting. Performs unskilled work in the area of garage maintenance and cleaning.

Position Key Accountabilities:

1. Provide cashier services for parking visitors. Provides opening/closing parking activities and reporting.

2. Performs maintenance activities within garage and remote lots such as sweeping, wiping down handrails and bumper guards, knocking down cob-webs, emptying garbage, treating oil spots, hanging/removing signs, painting and changing light bulbs.

3. Provides remote access and exits from remote parking locations via the parking management system (ScanNet).

4. Provide customer service functions related to parking contract sales.

5. Perform cash collection duties from automated parking machines.

6. Provide customer service functions related to general questions and/or directions.

7. Patrol and issue citations at garages, remote lots and loading docks.

8. Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance duties to parking access and revenue control equipment.

9. May accept 24-hour on call assignments.

10. Initiate parking access and parking denial through the parking management system (ScanNet).

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Valid driver's license required.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

Six months of customer service experience.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Security Sensitive:

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code 51.215

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
