The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Utility Operator to work at our Wallace Stone location in Bay Port, MI. The Utility Worker performs various manual labor tasks around the plant. The Laborer will also assist in the maintenance of the plant and equipment. UNION POSITION Pay: Starting $25.24/HR Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday, Occasional Saturday - Peak Season Monday - Thursday (10 HRS) - Off Season Benefits

• Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Utility Operator will:
  • Follows all Wallace, LEVY, MSHA Safety rules and regulations when performing any type of duty on site
  • Operate various types of mobile equipment and off-road trucks for the purose of maintaining dust and stockipiling material
  • Verifies that all safety guarding is in place and functional
  • Inspects plant and all of its components at start up and shut down
  • Adjusts equipment such as crushers, screens, conveyors, and chutes to control product and maintain flow of materials
  • Grease equipment and maintain oil levels
  • Weld, cut, splice and fabricate equipment & components
  • Observe fugitive dust and keep the water system controlled
  • Clean up around plant manually or with equipment
  • Maintains logs and records
  • Provides general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe facility
  • Any Related duties as defined by the Plant Manager Skills The ideal candidate will have:
    • Basic Mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, and/or pry
    • Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time and work in an environment with noise and temperature variations
    • Work outside for an extended period of time and ability to work at elevated heights
    • Ability to read, write and speak English
