The Study at University City is currently seeking a Valet Attendant to provide genuine hospitality and the highest quality of service to our guests. The Valet attendant is the first guest interaction at the hotel, and is responsible for driving, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles while providing a genuine and welcoming guest experience. The successful candidate is dependable, friendly, personable and who loves helping guests while managing multiple priorities at once.Our caring and attentive associates reinforce our principal belief that guest service is our highest priority. Responsibilities- Load/unload luggage from car to luggage carts.
- Retrieve and park cars courteously, timely and safely.
- Proactively approach, greet and acknowledge all guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Courteously open front door for guests.
- Be able to quickly run back to station and prepare for next guest's arrival.
- Ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions.
- Ensure all cars are ticketed.
- Attend to the parking booth to ensure the security of guests' vehicle keys.
- Observe assigned areas for any safety hazards or unauthorized tampering with or pilferage to parked vehicles.
- Reports immediately any incidents or conditions to the supervisor or Security department.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of daily activities.
- Escort guests to hotel rooms.
- Provide an overview of guest room, hotel services and amenities.
- Make deliveries to guest rooms and assist guest with room changes.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Fundamentals- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Has excellent driving record.
- Ability to positively communicate and interact with all hotel departments.
- Flexibility to work any shift including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in English required. A second language is desirable.
- Ability to grasp, lift and or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
