Employment Type:Part timeShift:Evening ShiftDescription:Under limited supervision, provides assistance, direction, and other guest services to all patients and visitors. Responds to requests for customer service and maintains a positive public image as an initial point of contact for customers.Hours: 20 hours per weekSchedule: Schedule may vary based on business needs. At this time they are 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. What you will do:
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service/care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with MercyOne standards.
  • Receives and greets patients, patient's families and significant others in a friendly and helpful manner and provides general information and facilitating their access and use of the hospital appropriate by hospital policy and procedures.
  • Performs valet services of parking, retrieving, and delivering customer vehicles.
  • Escort patients and visitors to the appropriate location in the hospital
  • Ensures a clean and safe working area by keeping the area neat and free of debris, snow, litter, or any other hazards.
  • Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences utilizing established lines of authority and assists in identifying ways to resolve variances or unacceptable outcomes.
  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the MercyOne and Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent Preferred
  • Valid Driver's license with motor vehicle record that meets requirements of Safe Driver Policy
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and effectively work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must have a general working knowledge of computers and department specific software (i.e., Healthstream, internet, etc.)
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
  • Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of MercyOne and Trinity Health.
