Apply your expertise as a Machine Controls Specialist (MCS) Resident to ensure the customer's performance is driven forward.
We have the perfect opportunity for the right individual as a resident MCS expert here at Valmet! In this role, you will be the onsite expert following a recent machine rebuild for our customer in Bear Island, Virginia. As the go to onsite personnel, you will support our customer with world-class technology solutions on a day to day basis.
As the expert you will:
* Work to understand and define customer issues working with customer, Agreement Manager, Valmet CAP, Valmet AUT, suppliers and others as needed.
* Work to figure out actions to resolve customer issues working with customer, Agreement Manager, Valmet CAP, Valmet AUT, suppliers and others as needed.
* Understand, determine and implement solutions to eliminate the customer issue from reoccurring.
* Work with Valmet Automation and customer's Management of Change Procedure on logic and other machine changes which will ensure changes are approved and implemented by Customer's Management.
This position will be located in Bear Island, Virginia USA in support of Valmet's service agreement with customer. Initial duration will be 2 years.
Expectations
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from a four-year college or university; a minimum of two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have Paper Industry experience - heavy industrial equipment experience preferred.
This position is eligible for expat assignment. Relocation assistance is available.
