Job Description:The Value Stream Business Leader is responsible for leading the operation of one or more plant value streams. Implements Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations.

Responsibilities:* Develop and lead associates, make employment decisions, and conduct performance assessments of assigned plant value stream(s).* Lead all aspects of the plant value stream(s) under the direction of the Value Stream Manager, including associate development, decision-making, budget adherence, and performance assessment of Group Leaders and associates.* Meet regularly with Value Stream associates to reflect on problems, solutions, and challenges, creating a culture of continuous improvement.* Lead daily operations and continuous improvements, including supply chain, production control, manufacturing priorities, and coordination between all shifts.* Assist the Value Stream Manager in creating continuous product flow and leveling the workload.* Ensure compliance with standardized work and safety processes, implementing necessary adjustments.* Maintain a positive team atmosphere; hold regular team meetings and coordinate support activities from external departments.* Utilize PDCA in conjunction with Tracking Centers and Team Improvement Boards to ensure results.* Provide effective cross-training for Value Stream associates and backups from other value streams.* Encourage the team to stop and fix problems to ensure quality from the start.* Work with the Value Stream Manager to develop the future state value stream map and manage plans to achieve it.* Collaborate with the Group Leader and Value Stream Team to maintain Team Improvement Boards.

Education and Experience:* Bachelor's degree* 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience* Aerospace experience required* Welding experience a plus

Skills and Knowledge:* Background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management, and inventory control.* Demonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills.* Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills.* Good written and verbal communication skills.* Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred.
