Job Overview: We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Van Driverto join our dynamic Youth Community Services team! In this role, you will provide transportation to and from facilities for clients/patients participating in provided programs while ensuring their safety during transportation and maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of the van. Key Responsibilities:- Safely transport clients to and from approved designations, following a set schedule
- Ensure client safety during transportation, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Schedule, route, and pick-up clients as assigned; only scheduled clients will be allowed in the van
- Report any suspicious activity while transporting clients
- Complete necessary paperwork, including incident reports and other records
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients/patients
- Implement safety check procedures for the vehicles according to company policy
- Report any mechanical or other problems with the vehicle to leadership immediately
- Participate in staff development activities and required meetings
- Maintain the van's cleanliness and ensure it is well-maintained, arranging for routine maintenance and repairs as needed
- Communicate effectively and establish positive relationships with clients, staff, and community members
Requirements:- Valid Missouri Class E Driver's License with a good driving record
- Eligibility to be included on the company insurance policy for van drivers
- CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens Certification
- High school diploma or GED, and at least 21 years old (required for insurance purposes)
- Successful completion of a background check including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect
- Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment
- Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record and current vehicle insurance
- Ability to perform physical demands of the job, including walking, running, and assisting clients as needed
