A person will be paid at Step 1 during the first year that he/she supervised the activity. During the second year that he/she supervised the activity, he/she will be on Step 2. Applications should be submitted by all interested ** Teachers including those coaches who have served in the position in the past.VAN SICKLE STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 Basketball, Head Coach (Boys) $1,234.00 $1,505.00 $1,759.00 Basketball, Head Coach (Girls) 1,234.00 1,505.00 1,759.00 DUTIES: -Oversee sport and travel program. -Select team for travel season. -Develop daily practice schedule. -Supervise students at all times. -Check on eligibility of all athletes. -Check attendance daily. -Establish rules and expectations for athletes. -Supervise students to away games on bus. -Issue equipment and collect it at the end of the season. -Secure building permits. -Be aware of MSSADA Rules and Regulations. -CPR Training and completion of the Concussion in Sports course (required.) QUALIFICATIONS:-Knowledgeable of sport or activity. -Good communication skills. -Be able to successfully instruct and encourage athletes. -CPR/First Aid and Coaches Education and Concussion certified are requirements for all coaching candidates. -Must complete MIAA coaches education course.
